Tiberon exists for a simple purpose, to Bring The Stoke. It is about feeling the call of the wind and the waves wherever you may be in the world, and answering it even if it is only in your heart. In my mind the ocean is the great unifying force across our planet, a place in which all are equal and the world seems to have meaning. What that meaning is varies across all of us, and every interpretation is the right one. Since I was a kid I have always believed that the person in the water having the most fun is the best one out there. My goal with this is to try an enable others to enjoy our little corner of the world the way I have been fortunate enough to recently.
On this site you’ll find an ever-growing repository of Kiteboarding spots that I have found and cataloged in the hopes of expanding our horizons and helping people to better enjoy the region I lovingly call my home. I will describe the process to you on other pages so that if you have a desire to venture out and find your own slice of heaven then I have hopefully given you the tools for a good start, and the caution to do it in a safe manner. I will update this log as often as I can with tips and tricks, spots, advisories, relevant events, and other tidbits of information I hope you find helpful in your journey. Of course feedback is always welcome, but please remember I am only one person with a dog as a copilot so it can take me time to travel to and assess new locations. I won’t be adding locations I haven’t personally kited at because I want to be able to give as comprehensive of a report possible to increase your enjoyment and safety.
On a more personal note I am just a person with an immense passion for the Pacific Northwest and Kiteboarding. I grew up in Southwest WA and come from a surfing and snowboarding background, but for me Kiting was love at first faceplant. I have been fortunate enough to experience a lot of what this place has to offer and to have met some absolutely incredible people along the way. I hope to keep riding until they put me in the ground, and keep traveling the region and bringing new spots to the people who also call this place a home. I travel with my copilot and trusty sidekick Freya, an Alaska Malamute and probably the most spoiled dog on the face of the earth. We can most often be found where there is wind, in either our 4runner or little Solera motor home. If you happen to see us please come say hi and give the fluffy one (the fluffy dog anyway, I am often covered in so much fur mistaking us is fair) some pets. Until we meet I wish you high winds and happy days!
